Knowing that The Pine Box Dwellers hail from the headwaters of the Okefenokee Swamp, the biggest freight train hub east of the Mississippi River, and the home of country rock legend Gram Parsons should give you a good start to describing PBD's unique roots rock sound.
Swamp, Trains and Country Rockin Blues. Murky chord progressions and train beat rhythms. Barn burnin' rockers, tarnished hymns and honky-tonk heartache. All can be found amongst their three full-length releases, 2017’s self-titled debut, 2019’s Desperate Days and Longing Nights and their latest release, 2023's Drifter's Blues.
