Discover the rich history of coach and train travel between Adelaide and Willunga on this guided walk.About this Event
Follow the path of the former railway line as you make your way toward Old Reynella, learning how early transport shaped the region’s development and connected local communities. Along the way, your guide will share stories of the railway line, the important role of the Reynella Changing Station, and how travellers, goods, mail, and produce once moved through this busy corridor. Enjoy afternoon tea at the Reynella Neighbourhood Centre before the return walk.
Walking tour is approximately 4.5km in distance with some uphill sections. A good level of physical fitness will be required.
For the safety and comfort of all participants, we ask that pets please stay at home. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
Please meet near Fasta Pasta Reynella at 1:45pm. The walk will commence at 2pm. Please note all participants will be required to sign an indemnity form before commencing the walk.
Please dress for the weather, wear suitable walking shoes, bring a drink bottle and any relevant medications (i.e. epipen, asthma puffer etc.). You may also wish to bring an umbrella or rain jacket. In cases of severe weather forcasted, for safety reasons the walk will be postponed.
