Ben Stokes is an early son of Poetry in Motion, first taking the stage about a decade ago as a fresh faced, fire bellied adolescent raving about revolution and the rising price of beer, neither of which he managed to influence much. Ben won the National Slam back in 2014. Feeling infallible, he buggered off for many years of misadventure, until the world shat itself with Covid. Now back in Wellington he is trying to build some routine and become proper.
