About this Event
Welcome to Pilates Protection Program for Domestic Violence! A Wellness Event hosted by Elevate Pilates and Ann Sanchez. Join us on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 at 6:00 PM under the Tres Lagos Amphitheater.
Join me for a 45min non-heated Pilates class and a 45 min Self Defense Class πͺ
Participants are encouraged to make a monetary donation for a local women's shelter or clothing and essential items that can aid families in need. Together, we'll create a supportive environment that promotes healing and empowerment through movement.
At this Wellness event, we'll explore the world of pilates led by Elevate Pilates's founder, MARIAH BURKE, a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Pilates Instructor and then follow it with a Self-Defense class led by ANN SANCHEZ. An event dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. This special Pilates session focuses on strength, resilience, and community, all while raising awareness about the impact of domestic violence. Whether you're a Pilates enthusiast or new to the practice, everyone is welcome to join in and make a difference. Let's come together to uplift and support our survivors of DV in our community.
What to Expect:
All levels of pilates goers are welcomed! We start with a 45min non heated Pilates class And then follow it with a 45min Self Defense class.
What to Bring:
Come in exercise clothes. Just bring yourself, maybe a friend or two, a yoga mat & Most importantly GREAT energy :)!
Donation Wise:
- Clothing: New or gently used clothing for women and children.
- Hygiene Products: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine products, and toothbrushes.
- Household Items: Kitchen utensils, dishes, cookware, and small appliances.
- Bedding: Blankets, sheets, and pillows.
- Non-Perishable Food: Canned goods, pasta, rice, and snacks.
- Baby Supplies: Diapers, wipes, and baby food.
- Toys: New or gently used toys for children.
- Gift Cards: Gift cards for grocery stores, pharmacies, or clothing stores.
- School Supplies: Notebooks, pencils, and backpacks for children.
- Books: Self-help, children's books, or general interest books.
