Pilates and Sound Healing: An afternoon wellness event
Join us at The Wellness Den by Heal LA on April 19th for an afternoon blending Mat Pilates (postpartum friendly) and sound healing. It’s the perfect way to relax your body and mind, gather in community, and recharge. Come ready to move, connect with breath, and be immersed in soothing sounds.
We will begin with a 50-minute Pilates session designed to strengthen your body, improve posture, and enhance flexibility. Then, we will transition into a soothing one hour sound bath to support relaxation.
Small bites and tea will be provided.

About the Sound practitioner:
Vanessa Chambers--founder of Illumisoul Coaching--INC is holistic nurse, certified nurse coach, energy and sound practitioner. As a holistic nurse and sound practitioner, she strives to create a calming, gentle and supportive space using therapeutic sound vibrations to help restore balance and regulate the nervous system.
Each session is guided with intention to support relaxation, emotional release, and inner-to-outer healing of the body, mind, and spirit.
About the Pilates instructor:
Mary is a Registered Nurse, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and certified in Pilates with over 500 hours of comprehensive training. Mary has over 20 years of nursing experience in maternal-child health in a hospital setting & worked with new mothers with lactation issues as an IBCLC. Her passion for Pilates stems from over 15 years of personal experience. As an instructor, she loves guiding clients to stronger cores, better posture, and mindful movement. Mary believes in progress over perfection, movement with intention & how strength looks different on everyone. Known for her empathetic, evidence-based approach, she creates a supportive, non-judgmental space for clients. She continues to stay current through ongoing education in women’s health and Pilates workshops, while continuing with self-practice of Pilates.
About the baker and founder of Brown Buttered Bitch:
Kristen is a home baker and wellness enthusiast with a passion for holistic nutrition and nourishing the female body from the inside out. She believes treats should do more than just taste good — they should fuel you, support you, and make you feel your best. Her intention is to create food with wholesome, intentional ingredients designed with women’s health in mind.
Rooted in a deep love of cooking and whole-ingredient living, she is excited to be expanding into meal prep services and selling baked goods — stay tuned!
