P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome for their reading series. Pigeon Pages is a literary space where emerging and established writers from all backgrounds are encouraged to nest together. They seek to champion voices that are not always allowed to sing loudly.
- Doors open at 6:30pm, with the readings beginning around 7pm.
- This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating
- Cost of a $5 general admission ticket can be applied towards your purchase of the featured event book or any product in our café the night of an event.
- The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear. If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we're happy to take your pre-order. We ship most places!
- We encourage all guests to wear masks.
ABOUT THE READERS:
is the editor-in-chief of Electric Literature, winner of the 2022 Whiting Literary Magazine Prize. She is the first Black, openly trans woman to helm a major literary publication. A 2021 Out100 Honoree, her writing has been supported by MacDowell, Tin House, and the Kimbilio Center for African American Fiction, and appears in McSweeney's, American Short Fiction, and ZORA. She is co-host of the critically-acclaimed podcast Food 4 Thot, and her debut novel, When The Harvest Comes, was released by Random House in April 2025.

is the author of My Body Didn't Come Before Me (Speaking Tiger, 2023). Her work has been published in POETRY, Four Way Review, Best New Poets, Rattle, Memorious, SWWIM, and other literary magazines. She has received support from the Academy of American Poets, Napa Valley Writers Conference, and Vermont Studio Center. Her second collection was a finalist for the Black Lawrence Press Immigrant Writing Series and Texas Tech University Press's Walt McDonald Prize. Her poems have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best New Poets on multiple occasions. She currently teaches creative writing and composition as an adjunct professor at Pace University and LaGuardia Community College.
