About this Event
Join EBMUD Staff on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. for a rare tour of the inside of an empty drinking water reservoir. The walk will cover the history of the reservoirs and the innerworkings of EBMUD's water distribution system.
This tour will include two locations. We will begin at Piedmont Reservoir No. 2, the entrance to the facility is located near 818 Blair Avenue @ Harbord Drive in Piedmont, CA. https://goo.gl/maps/7Jj37K3nxhhjLGy76

Details
- The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. sharp and we aim to finish by 11:30 a.m.
- Bring a flashlight or headlamp, the tour will include going underground into the reservoir.
- Chaperones are required for children and all attendees must be over 13 years old. Individual safety waivers are required and waivers for minors must be signed by a parent or caregiver.
- No pets.
- Check-in is paperless, no need to print out your tickets.
- Save room for others. Please let us know if you will not be able to attend.
What should I wear?
- This tour includes stairs and uneven ground. Sturdy, closed toed shoes and long pants are highly recommended.
- Please bring water, sun protection, and wear sunscreen.
