Mae’r artist graffeg a argraffydd Paul Peter Piech yn cael ei adnabod am ei waith dylunio posteri gwleidyddol trawiadol, gyda neges ei waith mor wir nawr ar diwrnod a argraffwyd. Yn enedigol o Brooklyn i rhieni o Wcráin , magwyd Piech yn yr UDA cyn wario rhan sylweddol o’i fywyd yn Gymru, ai flynyddoedd olaf yn Porthcawl. Tra yng Nhymru cariodd mlaen hefo gwaith ymgyrchu a hefyd ymdrochi yn diwylliant Cymraeg a’r iaith i greu corff o waith atyniadol . Fel Rhan o arddangosfa Paul Peter Piech Posteri Heddwch ,mae yn fraint cael gwahodd y Jim Creed hanesydd celf , casglwr a awdurdod ar waith a bywyd y diweddar artist a manylu ar ei waith, ysbrydoliaeth a dylanwad .

Piech : Perspectives on the Printmaker

Graphic artist and printmaker Paul Peter Piech is best known for his striking political posters, as urgent and as relevant as when they were first printed . A Ukrainian-American who spent part of his life in Wales and last decade of his life in Porthcawl, where he continued to work and was heavily influenced by Welsh culture and the Welsh language. As part of the the exhibition Paul Peter Piech Peace Posters it is an honour to welcome art historian , poster collector and leading authority on the life and work of Piech, Jim Creed to Storiel to discus the late artist’s work ,style and inspiration .
