Picturing History book club by Bronwyn Betz . The books selected are picture books that focus on historical periods or specific events and people. Mature themes including enslavement, labor disputes, war, and discrimination, will be discussed. Recommended age is 8-adult. This is a family book club so adult participation is encouraged.We will begin each meeting with a reading of the book, followed by a discussion and some more details of the historical period or event that the book pertains to. For the final portion of the club meeting, we will do an art project inspired by the book. All supplies will be provided. In order to have the supplies prepared, registration is required. $3 per child/$5 per Family.
