Option 1 — Pre-Made Clay Form (Beginner-Friendly & Relaxed)
Prefer to ease into clay and spend more time customizing and personalizing your piece? This is the most approachable option and ideal for first-timers or anyone who wants a smooth, stress-free creative experience.
Common slab-built pieces include:
Mug
Bowl
Platter
Planter
Garlic Scraper / Herb Stripper
These forms are already shaped and slightly damp — ready for carving, adding texture, painting, and sculptural details.
This option allows you to focus on creativity, surface design, and personalization without the added challenge of building the structure from scratch.

Option 2 — Clay Slab Build (Make it from scratch)
Ready to get your hands fully into the clay and take on a creative challenge? The slab build option is a more involved, hands-on experience that requires shaping, forming, and constructing your piece from the ground up.
Start with a 12" x 12" slab of clay and learn basic forming techniques to create the structure of your piece yourself.
Common slab-built pieces include:
Mug or plate
Luminary
Coaster or ornament
Another simple, refined form of your choosing
Expect shaping, joining, smoothing, and problem-solving — this option is more tactile and time-intensive than the pre-made form.
