About the Pick-A-Rib Three from Tony Balluff:
'The Clarinet Trio. Traditional jazz without a net! Benny Goodman led the most famous of these trios with Teddy Wilson and Gene Krupa, but all the clarinetists at one time or another tried the form. Local clarinetist Tony Balluff and drummer Dave Michael from Southside Aces, along with the inimitable pianist Rick Carlson, have been exploring this rich repertoire for seven years now, and swing as hard as any five other guys. They have to!"
The venue: The Eagles #34 has a large dance floor, free on and off street parking, lots of seating, full bar, dining available until 9pm and some of the most welcoming dancers and music fans to hang out with.
