This event is intended for early years professionals and ECE students in Lambton County.
About this Event

This workshop supports early years educators in strengthening daily physical activity and physical literacy through active play. Educators will build a shared understanding of key concepts (active play, physical literacy, and fundamental movement skills), explore simple facilitation strategies (modelling, environment as third teacher, prompts and cues), and practice adaptable movement games that can be used in indoor or outdoor settings. The session also includes guided reflection and small group discussion about risk vs. hazard and how to support adventurous/risky play in ways that are safe, responsive, and confidence-building for young children.

Suited for: All RECEs, ECAs, ECE Students, Supervisors, Child Care Workers, Community Partners, Home Child Care Providers and Home Child Care Visitors.
