Phyphr is creating his own sound that lies between Soul Bass, Delta Blues and Upside-Down Gospel. Merging live guitar with talk box and big bass drops, Phyphr is defining a brand new sound that you won’t find anywhere else. This sonic fingerprint has led him to perform alongside artists like Manic Focus, The Floozies, Daily Bread and SunSquabi, to name a few.
Hailing from North Carolina, Phyphr’s unforgettable performances have graced festivals including Hulaween, Gem & Jam, Summer Camp and Cascade Equinox. Phyphr's fast-track growth has been recognized by 303 Magazine, River Beats Dance, Electric Hawk, ThisSongIsSick, EDMTunes, and many others.
In 2024, Phyphr amassed 1.3M Streams, 155k Listeners, and 200% growth on Spotify alone. With his streaming stats increasing rapidly, Phyphr is at the forefront of the newest generation of soul.
His upcoming Sophomore LP titled, “Crossroads” explores themes of darkness, light, and rebirth. 11 songs tell the story of a location between worlds. Pulling influences from EDM, funk, hip-hop, jazz and beyond, Philly-based producer and keyboardist 5AM is no stranger to fusion. Whether it be jazz fusion, or the fusion of high fidelity electronic music with live instrumentation. To expand on this vision, the 5AM Trio employs the dextrous drumming of Aaron Harel (ZONE Drums) and the guitar wizardry of Keith Wadsworth (Wax Future). The Trio have soared to new heights recently, having shared the stage with acts as diverse as Papadosio, Clozee, Lab Group, Break Science, Lotus, and Tiedye Ky, and have built strong roots throughout the festival scene, playing festivals like Elements, Summerdance, Sonic Bloom and Secret Dreams and countless more.
