PHTLS Course information- How to be PHTLS Certified.
Get certified with the best! Our PHTLS course is a hybrid course. 16 hours in total.
Total time in class = 8 online and 8 hours in class for lecture and hands on face to face practical.
Students will pay for the online portion through Jones and Bartlett. Upon completion of the course they will print out their certificate of completion and bring it with them to the classroom part 2 practical portion.
Provider Course: 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit.
Evidence-Based Trauma Education PHTLS is developed in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons’ Committee on Trauma, incorporating ATLS 10th edition guidelines. NEW Focus on XABCDE PHTLS reinforces control of exsanguinating hemorrhage and mirrors the principles of the MARCH assessment.
Promotes Critical Thinking PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care with: • NEW targets for blood pressure with fluid resuscitation • NEW NAEMSP and ACS-COT termination of resuscitation guidelines Essential Training for All EMS Practitioners PHTLS provides trauma care training for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and other prehospital providers. Recognized and Respected PHTLS is the gold standard for prehospital trauma care in 70 countries and is CAPCE-accredited and NREMT recognized.
