Dominic Markes is a photographer and multimedia artist.
He specialises in long-term documentary projects that explore heritage, identity and
belonging.
His photographs have been published in 10 Magazine, Huck, Clash, and Planet Woo and has received recognition from the IPA International Photography Awards (in consecutive years), British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Humanity and the Urban Photo Awards.
Dominic is currently expanding his practice through darkroom printing, supported by an Arts Council Develop Your Creative Practice grant.
During the evening you will visit Dominic studio at Sun Pier House followed by a photography talk where Dominic will share and discuss his works Carnival & We Come One. Durning the interactive session there will be a short film screening, audio montages followed by Q&A and opportunity to socials.
