Photography Socials return for 2026.
In February Henry Iddon will be giving an insight and reflection on 30 years of experience in professional photography and creative practice. He will be talking about the balance between commercial work and self motivated projects. Henry will include the work completed for large international organisations and ACE funded projects, to working with, and supporting, creative activities within the formal education system and local communities.
Henry Iddon is photographic and lens based artist whose practice concerns finding new ways, and reasons, to look at the landscape. He has awareness about remaining accessible to all, and relevant to the discourse that is contemporary art and culture.
Henry has films in the National Library of Scotland Screen Archive, and NW film Archive at Manchester Metropolitan University, and 2D work in various collections including The Wordsworth Trust; Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool; State Library of New South Wales and University of Tucson Library.
Photographic and film projects have been both exhibited internationally and presented, with the associated research as papers, at academic conferences and within peer reviewed journals.

Important physical access info:
Please note that this session is upstairs. We are in the process of installing a lift, however due to unforeseen delays this is now due to be completed later in the year. The event space is up a single flight of 14 steps then you go around the corner and there are two small steps. Once you’re upstairs there’s a loo. You shouldn’t need to come downstairs for anything until the end of the activity.

GETTING HERE
- Tram & Train to Blackpool North Station
- Bus: No 6 or 18 to Topping St., No 3, 3a, 5c, 6, 18 to Church St (Stanley Buildings), No 5, 5a, 5b, 6, 7a, 14 to Talbot Rd
- Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are on East Topping St and Talbot Road multi storey. There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park.
