About this Event
Photo Walk London is a sightseeing tour of the city for people who enjoy photography.
Whether you're a complete beginner with a smartphone, a fan of film/vintage cameras or a keen amateur with the very latest tech, it'll be great to welcome you along. While our time at our various locations is limited, the vibe of the walk will be relaxed - there'll be plenty of opportunities for food, drink and rest stops! You'll be offered photography themes, direction and advice throughout the walk by your guide Jon Clifton. It's a chance to learn, to develop existing skills and to meet like minded people.
Our walk starts at Liverpool Street Station at 10am (meeting outside McDonald's on the upper concourse).
During the day, you can expect to see skyscrapers in the square mile, The Monument, a secret city garden (St. Dunstan in the East), Tower Bridge, The South Bank, Millennium Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, The London Eye, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.
There'll be plenty of opportunites for landscape, architecture and landmark photography, all the things that make London so special. It will be a full day and we'll get around the city mainly on foot but also using the London Underground (tube) - this will be an additional cost of around £3 payable on the day. Our walk will end in the early evening between 5 and 6pm at Trafalgar Square.
All you need is a charged camera/batteries, weather appropriate clothing, footwear comfortable for walking and snacks/drinks if you'd like to bring them. Please note that tripods and telephoto lenses (200mm+) are not required or practical for our snapshot walk.
You are responsible for your own safety and equipment at all times, attendance is at your own risk. Insurance if available from various providers should you feel you need it. London is a very busy city and we'll be spending time outside different tourist attractions.
In the event of poor weather being forecast, the walk will be cancelled and a full refund provided - no less than 24 hours notice will be given. Note that in the event of cancellation by the organiser (for any reason e.g. poor weather, sickness or low group numbers - minumum of 3 required), claims will not be considered and refunds will not be provided for pre booked transport or accommodation costs.
If you need to cancel your place on the walk, to receive a refund, 48 hours notice must be provided. With less than 48 hours notice, no refund is available. Please note that eventbrite booking fees are non refundable regardless of notice period.
After booking, you'll receive a ticket with Jon's contact details. If you're delayed on the day or can't find the meeting place, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Tickets are limited to 6 - there is a maximum order limit of 2 per person.
