About this Event
On November 23rd, we'll gather at Bildband Berlin for a lovely evening of discussion about photobooks.
Event theme: Point of View (POV). We will explore how a story's perspective shapes its impact and our understanding. We'll examine who tells the story and how the perspective affects our experience. We'll consider if the author chose this specific point of view, looking at what it reveals or conceals and how it affects our sympathy, judgments, and engagement.
Please take note of our event rules:
- This is an event where participation is encouraged. It is not intended as a lecture series so please be aware that you might be asked to share your opinions and participate in discussion.
- This is not an event for self promotion. We want it to be a safe space for artists, creators and photo book enthusiasts to have their voices heard. It is not a space for artists to pitch their own work. Of course, we realize that anecdotal discussion can be done in a respectful way but please do not use this space to share or intentionally promote your own books/art during our discussions.
- It is highly encouraged to bring a book to discuss. While it's not mandatory, we structure our discussions around sharing new work. Books can also be found at Bildband to use in our discussion.
