The easy accessibility and use of sophisticated digital cameras have flooded the world with photographers. With applications such as Photoshop and Lightroom, anyone can create a technically superb image. But, do these new cameras and tools make your images artistic? Are cell phones still inferior to DSLR cameras? As Peter Adams so eloquently said, 'A camera didn’t make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel.
This workshop is about exploring the art of cell phone photography that goes beyond the mundane, using apps to enhance skills and techniques. We will learn how to easily create sophisticated composites with a cell phone app. With billions of images uploaded to the internet each day, how can we make our photos stand out? We will explore compositional elements that go beyond the ubiquitous rule of thirds.
