Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is hosting a open interviews at our Grand Rapids Donor Center. We love what we do, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team in Grand Rapids!!

Interview Day: Tuesday January 20th 12:00 PM-3:00 PM

Donor Specialist - Mobiles (Starts at $17.00/hr. evening and weekend differentials available full medical/dental/ vision/ matching 401k. Skill based % increases offered for advanced phlebotomy skills training

*All positions are FULL-TIME and require open availability between 4:00am-10:00pm.

Schedule is made 2-3 weeks in advance but work schedule is determined by times of the blood drives. 5 days on 2 days off Sun-Thurs , Tues-Sat

Candidates will receive a link to register for the event and must register for a specific one-hour time slot. Please plan to be on-site for 1 hour (the 1-hour slot includes a tour of the donor center and the mobile bus.) Please bring a copy of your resume or send to [email protected] email

What you can expect in this position:

We like to think of our phlebotomists as the friendliest vampires you’ll ever meet. We train all of our phlebotomists in the techniques that will help them advance their careers in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals. To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with an eight-week training program. This includes a total of eight weeks of both classroom training and mentorship with an established phlebotomist.

What you will do:

• Perform accurate medical interviewing

• Determine donor eligibility

• Perform venipunctures/draw blood

• Ensure donor and recipient safety

• Load, unload, and event set up

What you will need for this position:

• Valid Driver’s License and Reliable mode of transportation.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Availability from 4am-10pm – Schedules provided 3 weeks in advance.

• Must be able to pass a background check : criminal, employment, education, motor vehicle record , Drug Screen ( inculding marijuana) and a physical ( 50lb lift test)

Please plan to be at our facility for an hour to Hour time may run longer due to amount of attendandees . We will strive to have everyone leave in a timely manner but delays may occur due to the amount of attendants. We will be sending you emails priror to attending so monitor your inbox or your junk/spam folder.
