Between Rhythm & Release blends the earthy pulse of Afro-Cuban rhythm with the fluid artistry of contemporary dance, inviting you to move with curiosity, confidence, and a whole lot of joy.

An invitation to let rhythm ignite your body while you discover new ways of expressing yourself through phrase work, grounded footwork, expansive gestures, and somatic awareness practices designed to reconnect you with your inner fire.
Perfect for basic and intermediate dancers as well as adventurous movers ages 30–60, this workshop supports a wide range of abilities. You’ll sweat, smile, challenge yourself, and—most importantly—feel at home in your body.

Part One: Tuesday, January 20
Ground into rhythm, connect with Afro-Cuban musicality, explore foundational movements, and begin weaving contemporary phrasing with intention and flow.
Part Two: Tuesday, January 27
Expand into more dynamic combinations, expressive layers, and embodied release. Build on Part One or jump in as a standalone session.
Both sessions offer:
- Playful, rhythmic movement exploration
- Contemporary phrase work that feels delicious in the body
- Accessible athleticism—sweat included, pressure off
- A grounding somatic cool-down to release tension and awaken clarity
- Space for connection, celebration, and shared artistry
