A teremtő szellemű Philippe Herreweghe saját alapítású, világhírű műhelyeivel: a Collegium Vocale Gent kórusával és az Orchestre des Champs-Elysées zenekarával lép a Müpa színpadára. Mint közismert, repertoárja nem korlátozódik a szigorúan vett régizenére: Monteverditől Stravinskyig, Gesualdótól Dvořákig mindent vezényel, ami felkelti érdeklődését. Ezúttal Beethoven üzenetét tolmácsolja: a népszerű G-dúr zongoraversenyben a régi billentyűs hangszerek specialistája, Kristian Bezuidenhout játékát hallhatjuk, a ritkán felcsendülő C-dúr mise szólóit pedig nemzetközi énekesgárda tolmácsolja.Az előadás az Európai Unió Tanácsa magyar elnökségének kísérőprogramjaként, a Müpa szervezésében valósul meg.

Taking the stage at Müpa Budapest on this evening will be the creative spirit Philippe Herreweghe joined by the world-famous workshops he founded: the Collegium Vocale Gent and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées. As is well known, his repertoire is not limited strictly to early music: he conducts anything that captures his interest, from Monteverdi and Gesualdo to Stravinsky, and Dvořák. This time around, he will be interpreting the message of Beethoven: with the popular Fourth Piano Concerto in G major featuring Kristian Bezuidenhout, a specialist in early keyboard instruments, and the soloists in the rarely played Mass in C major comprised of an international cast of singers.
This programme is being organised by Müpa Budapest as a side event of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
