About this Event

Join us for our upcoming talk with Philip Goodman as he shares his journey from architect to building a successful and ethical property company.

Before founding URECO, Philip worked at Foster + Partners where his projects included the Bloomberg Building, London, which won the Stirling Prize in 2018. In 2021 Philip was recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30 as a newcomer rethinking finance and disrupting the industry.

Starting with small renovations URECO is now developing schemes of 550 homes and has a £100m investment fund for residential developments.

Philip firmly believes that design is synonymous with strategy and analytics and that creative thinking can enhance the value of investments for funders and occupiers.

This is a talk for anyone interested in the intersection of architecture and development, and for those looking to understand the realities and rewards of building a successful property business.

Amanda Baillieu and Gus Zogolovitch set up Developer Collective in 2018 to teach professionals how to become design-led property developers and give them the contacts and resources to deliver their projects.

Their book How to be an Architect Developer was published in September '23.
The talk will be followed by networking drinks and nibbles.
