Many PhD students try to set up their own postgraduate research networks or reading groups, however, most find it difficult to sustain interest or participation.
Since starting in 2022, Edinburgh Environmental Humanities Network’s (EEHN) PhD Lab has grown into a thriving interdisciplinary research community — winning over £10,000 in grants, collaborating on articles, and organising international reading groups, retreats, seminar series, and a conference.
Drawing on the experiences of members of the EEHN PhD Lab as well as other network convenors in the UK and Scandinavia, this training event will provide strategies for SGSAH researchers who want to start and sustain their own successful PGR Networks.
