Quality maturity reflects an organization’s ability to consistently deliver compliant outcomes through robust processes, empowered people, scientific risk management, data integrity, and continuous learning.

The categories have been carefully designed to distinguish between compliance-driven activities and maturity-led outcomes, focusing on depth of implementation, ownership by leadership, and the ability to sustain and scale quality performance over time.
Certain organizational categories are evaluated based on company turnover to ensure fairness, recognizing that scale, complexity, and resource availability significantly influence GMP implementation. Other categories are assessed uniformly across organizations, as quality maturity in these areas is driven more by mindset, discipline, and leadership than by organizational size.
