PFLAG Waukesha Launches First Connects Meeting
Waukesha, WI - PFLAG Waukesha will be hosting their first Connects Chapter Meeting on Thursday, November 14th for anyone to attend. This is an opportunity for members of PFLAG Waukesha and anyone else struggling in Waukesha to come and find support among their peers.
At a Connects Chapter Meeting, the discussion is more diversified than a standard PFLAG Waukesha support meeting. As this will be the first meeting after the presidential elections, PFLAG Waukesha expects it to be an important meeting.
When asked about the importance of this meeting in light of Tuesday's election results, Julie Reuss - the President of PFLAG Waukesha - replied, "During the last Trump Administration, LGBTQIA+ people lost many rights. It will be no different this time. What is different now is that Waukesha has LGBT Waukesha and PFLAG Waukesha. We are out and proud and we have no desire to go back into the closet. Let's come together and discuss how we can continue to fight for a caring, just, and affirming world for everyone."
The meeting will be held in Program Room A at the Waukesha Public Library from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Any questions about the meeting can be directed to PFLAG Waukesha President Julie Reuss at [email protected]. PFLAG Waukesha looks forward to this opportunity to further connect with their community.
