The Pleasantdale Fire Department is excited to invite the community to our first-ever Cabin Fever Chili Cook-Off and Basket Raffle on Sunday, February 22, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This event is free to attend, with no fee at the door and no entry fee to enter your chili. Contestants need to inform us they are entering and then, simply need to show up with their own crockpot of chili and arrive one hour before doors open to the community.
This event is also a fundraiser to help support our Easter Breakfast at the end of March. The only cost is for chili tasting and raffle tickets. A suggested $10 donation allows guests to sample all chili entries and vote for the People’s Choice Award and includes corn muffins and corn chips. Soda and water will be available for purchase.
In addition to the cook-off, we will be holding a basket raffle, with sheets available for $5 each (25 chances per sheet), along with a 50/50 raffle. At 230pm we will have the announcement of chili winners and awards, followed by raffles being drawn.
Whether you’re a chili connoisseur, ready to compete for bragging rights, or just want to help judge and enjoy a great bowl of comfort food, this event is for you. It’s all for a great cause—bring your appetite, enjoy some friendly competition, and join us for a fun afternoon of community spirit. Who will take home the title of Pleasantdale Chili Champion? 🌶️🔥
