Join us for our annual Paint, Learn, and Sip Fundraiser! This year we'll be learning about Petrykivka, the traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style that originated in the rural settlement of Petrykivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine, where it was traditionally used to decorate walls and everyday household items. You'll have a chance to create your own piece of Petrykivka art, instructed by Olena Shevelenko.
Olenka Shevelenko is a New Jersey-based artist who specializes in Petrykivka. She is originally from Kherson, Ukraine and paints both as a hobby and as a way to connect more with her heritage. She has led a number of workshops and has had her art exhibited in various public spaces around New Jersey.
Admission includes wine, canapes and sweets, and all necessary art supplies.
