A spring concert like no other. Beethoven’s great “Pastorale” Symphony is the main work. It is a journey in music, starting with a walk in the country, some time spent by the brook, a village dance, a huge storm, and then general rejoicing with the return of the sun. Paired with this is Prokofiev’s beautiful and soaring First Violin Concerto, featuring Erika Raum in her second appearance with the PSO. “Chase the Sun”, by Métis composer T. Patrick Carrabré, is an exciting concert opener describing a frenetic car ride towards the west. About Ericka Raum
