Presented by the Peterborough Folk Festival, prepare for a beautiful evening of indie-folk and more on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the Gordon Best Theatre.The night features performances by Peterborough Folk Festival alumni VANCAMP and I, the Mountain, with a debut performance from Kay Silver.
VANCAMP emerged during the height of the pandemic, blending vibrant folk storytelling with indie grit and acoustic charm. Known for his compelling lyricism and melodic hooks, VANCAMP’s heartfelt storytelling and dynamic sound invite listeners into a world of honest emotion. VANCAMP was named the 2024 Peterborough Folk Festival Emerging Artist of the Year.
I, the Mountain returns to Peterborough with their signature soulful harmonies and vibrant energy. I, the Mountain is a four-piece indie-folk band based in Kitchener, ON. Known for their joyous harmonies, interactive live performances, and passion for building community through music, the band has built a fanbase of loyal “Mountaineers” across Canada.
Known for her sultry yet sweet honeyed voice, Kay Silver is a multifaceted singer/songwriter based out of Peterborough, Ontario. Stirring her natural neo-torch sensibilities with eloquently wistful melodies, the silver-tongued shapeshifter breathes a new life into her past by resurrecting her sound in a soulful expression that has been pining to be set free, heeded, and perceived. She will be accompanied by 2022 Emerging Artist of the Year Nathan Truax.
