Ipejọpọ is an Afro-cultural and musical performance by Peter D. Abayomi @iam_peterbata, a Lagos-based and Yorùbá indigenous composer, inviting audiences into an active space of experimentation through live collective music composition and performance. Rooted in the African concept of communal rhythm, the work approaches music as a shared process that dissolves the boundaries between performer and audience, transforming individual roles into a connected ecosystem of sound, energy, and experience. Central to the performance is the practice of Call and Response, used as a framework for improvisation, dialogue, listening, and co-creation. Through voice, rhythm, and participation, Ipejọpọ opens a communal environment where music becomes a living exchange shaped by everyone present.
