The Peter Bouffard Jazz Quartet includes some of the region’s most distinguished and prolific jazz performers. The Quartet’s repertoire includes a variety of instrumental swing, jazz waltz, Latin and funk styles in addition to other styles. Dr. Peter Bouffard is a guitarist, arranger, and educator performing over one hundred engagements per year in the region, has been an adjudicator, clinician, and/or musical director for a variety of musical events and organizations throughout the country, and has performed internationally in Europe and Asia. Bryan Canonigo, alto saxophone, is a doctoral candidate and graduate teaching assistant at the UNL Glenn Korff School of Music and is currently teaching and performing widespread throughout the region. Andy Hall, double bass, has had a long career performing throughout the country and internationally with many high profile performers. He has become an iconic bass player in the region. Jami Fristo, percussion, also has had a prolific and wide reaching career as a performer. In this quartet, Jami will be playing various percussion instruments in place of a traditional full drum set providing an added engaging and festive flavor to the music.Single admission tickets are $18 for adults, and free for students.
