UPDATED: Singer, songwriter, peace activist and cultural organizer Joyce (Grandma) Katzberg will be returning to The Baptist Church in Warren on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 to share an eclectic mix of historic, hysterical, personal and political songs and stories from over a half century of performing and activism. This concert was originally scheduled to be in the basement fellowship hall but has been moved upstairs to the sanctuary in order to accommodate more people. This gathering is sure to feed two birds with one scone by calling us together to lift our voices and spirits while also continuing to help Joyce raise sorely needed funds for ongoing medical and residential needs. The Baptist Church is located on the corner of Main and Miller Streets in Warren, RI. and is on RIPTA bus route #60.
Doors will open at 1:00. Concert will begin at 1:30 PM and end at 3:00. Seating will be first come, first served.
UPDATED: Instead of having a set ticket price, this Spirit and fundraising concert will be a "pay what you can" event. Thank you for your support and for your own voices of Hope as we continue on our Way. ✌🏾🎶💓JJK
ACCESSIBILITY: Regretfully, this space is not directly accessible by wheelchair but there will be volunteers on hand to assist those who need help to get in. Attendees are requested to be as fragrance free as possible.
As the concert is happening in the sanctuary there will not be a refreshment break. There are cafes and restaurants and sights to see all within close distance to the church.
We are looking forward to gathering in the Spring to join voices and feed Hope together as we celebrate Pete Seeger's 107th birthday, enjoy some favorites of Malvina Reynold's observational songwriting and more.
If you can't be there in person, Spirit is always welcome. <3
