Now entering its 18th year, the Turkey Trot has become a beloved local tradition drawing hundreds of runners, walkers, and families to the Ellis Creek Wetlands and Shollenberger Park trails. The event blends breathtaking natural beauty with community spirit — a celebration of health, gratitude, and connection.Organized by MAD Architecture, Aqus Community Foundation, and Petaluma Parks & Recreation, the Turkey Trot has become a Thanksgiving morning tradition for families across Sonoma County — offering both spectacular scenery and a shared sense of connection.
