Join the The Floathouse Petaluma crew for a one-way, tide-assisted adventure through the wild wetland reaches of San Pablo Bay. We’ll launch from the downtown docks in the heart of historic, vibey Petaluma (just 40 miles north of San Francisco) and let the outgoing tide do the work as we pedal six miles downstream in comfortable, stay-dry Hobie pedal kayaks.
This slow-lane journey carries us deep into protected wetlands—home to egrets, herons, mallards, and hundreds of other birds—revealing a side of our river most people never get to see.
🚿 Then… the reward.
We land at Lakeville Landing Marina, where you’ll be helped out of your boat and welcomed into pure post-paddle bliss with Sundrop Sauna. Cycle through their picture-windowed sauna, outdoor shower, and pristine cold plunge, with plenty of cozy seating areas to relax and soak it all in.
🧀 New for this run: while you unwind, enjoy a beautiful grazing box from LaBella Charcuterie, with regular, vegetarian, or vegan options—perfect sauna snacks, honestly.

Note: The optional sauna and cold plunge is a full 90-minute experience, with cozy outdoor seating, hot tea, and beautiful wetland views across the river. A changing room is available. Many guests say this portion alone is worth the trip. Please plan ahead by leaving a car at the sauna or arranging a ride back to Petaluma after your experience.
