Step into an evening where florals, fragrance, and atmosphere meet.
Petals & Potions is a spring gathering designed to feel like wandering into a hidden garden just after dusk… soft candlelight, fresh blooms, cocktails, and a space to slow down, connect, and meet new people
This is a private event at Hummingbird, with access to the patio space for the evening, though guests are welcome to move indoors and enjoy the full restaurant as well.
Your ticket provides access to the full experience, a welcome glass of bubbly, and a choice of complimentary shrimp cocktail or fried oysters with the purchase of dinner.
There is no formal agenda for the evening… just an open invitation to arrive, settle in, and enjoy dinner, drinks, and the atmosphere at your own pace.
Guests are invited to explore a curated petal bar , creating small floral bundles to take home while sipping on cocktails and enjoying small bites.
Throughout the evening, Hemlock & Hearth will offer a scent exploration experience, featuring green, floral, and softly grounded fragrances designed to evoke memory, mood, and place.
You’ll also find a small, curated selection of botanical and horror-leaning books from Long Dark House ( a DC area Horror/Sci fi bookstore opening soon)
Bring a cutting, plant, or seed packet for a community seed swap, or simply come as you are and move through a space layered with botanicals, scent, and story.
Tarot readings will be available throughout the evening for those who feel called, adding a quiet, intuitive layer to the experience.
A soft, nostalgic soundtrack inspired by films like Practical Magic will carry through the space… think Stevie Nicks, moody folk, and dreamy, feminine vocals that feel both grounding and a little wild.
