About this Event
Join JVP Indiana at Northwood Church for a special evening of celebration and reflection.
This community Passover Seder will bring together our Jewish community and people of all faiths for a meaningful ritual grounded in tradition and collective liberation.
As we gather this year, we do so in a time of profound injustice: the ongoing bombing and starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, escalating regional violence including Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran, and the inhumane detention and disappearance of immigrants by ICE here in the United States. Passover reminds us that liberation struggles are not confined to the past. The story of the Exodus calls on us to resist oppression wherever it exists and to imagine a world where all people can live with dignity, safety, and freedom.
Let’s come together to honor tradition, celebrate liberation, and share a delicious meal. This gathering is an opportunity to connect with one another, deepen our understanding of Passover, and stand in solidarity with those fighting for freedom today.
Add a Dish or Donate to Support the Event
In Jewish tradition, we come together to care for one another and build community. Whether it’s sharing food or helping cover costs, your participation is a beautiful expression of our collective spirit. Our liberation is intertwined, and by showing up for one another we strengthen the relationships that sustain movements for justice.
To help make the evening possible, we invite you to consider bringing a dish to share or making a donation on a sliding scale. Your support helps ensure that everyone can participate in this meaningful experience, regardless of financial ability. While contributions are appreciated, your presence is what matters most.
You are absolutely welcome to attend whether or not you are able to bring food or donate. This is a community gathering, and everyone is invited to participate fully. Bring the people you care about, and join us as we build community and work toward a future rooted in justice, dignity, and collective liberation for Palestinians and all oppressed people.
