Name: Perth clown jam

The Perth Clown Jam invites participants from all backgrounds to explore and discover modern clowning through games and improvisational exercises.
As the name implies the jam is a collaborative setting between all present but also will be hosted by a facilitator with clowning experience who will bring material to explore and keep things on track. Each facilitator will bring their own unique perspective on the idea of clown training and this diversity is what we’re all about. It is a place for both facilitators and participants to try new things or to bring an exercise from another workshop they would like to revisit. Group discussion and feedback is encouraged but its also not mandatory for those who feel they don’t need it.
In addition the jam will also provide a space in the last half hour for people to get up and run any “clown bits” in front of the group, limited to 10 minutes.

Ideally we hope to foster a community here in Perth around this wonderful and fascinating aspect of performing and who knows what may develop!
