Each session is an exploration of artistry. You'll begin by sipping a specially prepared cup of tea. As the leaves settle, we’ll turn the cup together — and that’s when the magic begins.
Using the ancient art of tasseography, Rissa will interpret the symbols hidden in your cup’s residue, channeling insight, messages, and intuitive wisdom. She will also create a one-of-a-kind ink drawing. a visual record of your personal reading that you’ll take home as a keepsake.

Rissa Miller is a Serpent's Key regular with a lifelong divination practice. She started learning tarot cards as part of a family tradition at age 8. Her love of tea guided her to tasseography by 16. She has been gazing into cups ever since. Rissa is best known as a public historian, exploring all topics dark and mysterious throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Serpent's Key is Wheelchair Accessible, has an accessible restroom, ample seating areas, is service animal friendly, and features sensory lighting for those with photophobia or other light sensory concerns. Incense is used on occasion, but we're happy to hold off if you call ahead!
