About this Event
Archives shape how history is remembered, whose stories are valued, and what future generations will know about us. In this workshop, we’ll explore how archives work, whose stories have been left out or told incompletely, and how we can preserve and share our own stories on our own terms. Through discussion, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities, we’ll discuss how to use archives, care for our personal collections, and build personal and community archives that reflect our lives, memories, and communities. Together - with archivist Christine Garaudy, we’ll create space for the stories that deserve to be seen, remembered, and passed on, starting with yours.
