LUCIÉRNAGA: Forbidden Light
A Ceremonial Contemporary Art Performance.
The Year is 2126.
The world has changed.
Decades of artificial intelligence governance, human–AI hybridization,
the banning of basic human rights, the end of Women's Suffrage, immigrants and protestors enslaved in concentration camps, nuclear wars, and the destruction of the sun…
What is left of Humanity lives under an authoritarian regime where creativity has been outlawed.
Music is forbidden.
Art is considered dangerous.
Social gatherings criminalized.
Free speech exists only as propaganda.
Yet, rumors have begun to circulate.
Hidden within the ruins of a nuclear-torn Cathedral, an underground society known as
LA LUZ quietly gathers. They are creatives, healers, and keepers of ancient human traditions—preserving relics from a time when creativity, ritual, and community were allowed.
Tonight, you have been invited.
LUCIÉRNAGA is a participatory, multi-sensory immersive theater experience inspired by the secrecy and intimacy of underground societies and the power of human creativity.
Small groups will be guided through a candle-lit cathedral environment by three mysterious Ceremonial Beings—members of LA LUZ who safeguard the last surviving rituals of human connection.
Participants move quietly through fog-filled chambers where ancient practices are rediscovered: shared breath, rhythm, movement, and collective stillness. Along the way, visitors take part in simple ceremonial acts—dance, breaking bread, breathing, shared heartbeat rhythms, lighting incense, communal meditation.
At the center of the cathedral lies LUCIÉRNAGA itself: a hidden chamber where vibroacoustic resonance and rhythmic stroboscopic light invite participants to close their eyes and experience light from within—awakening imagination long suppressed by the regime.
This is not a show to watch.
It is a ritual you enter.
For one evening, the underground society of LA LUZ opens its doors to initiate new members—reminding us that even in dystopia, creativity cannot be erased.
