Shooka Afshar & Matt Savage; "Persian Folk Meets Classical Opera"
Experience the rich tapestry of Persian folk tunes followed by an exquisite selection of operatic and classical pieces. Harvard Music Award-winning soprano, Shooka Afshar, will take you on a musical journey from the soulful melodies of Persia to the timeless arias of the classical world, along with the artistry of Matt Savage on the piano, a renowned jazz pianist and composer. With her exceptional vocal artistry and deep understanding of both traditions, Shooka promises a performance that will resonate with audiences of all backgrounds.
8:30PM - 9:30PM: Cassie Kollman & Sebastian Guerrero; "Jazz Duo Performance"
Enjoy the smooth and sophisticated sounds of a jazz duo featuring a talented vocalist and a masterful electric bassist. This duo will transport you to a world of jazz classics and contemporary favorites, blending voice and bass in a harmonious and soulful performance.
