Asian Americans aren't supposed to fail. We're expected to be fully realized and excellent at everything we do. Remember when an A- grade was an "Asian F"?

Welcome to the inaugrual "Permission to Fail" Artist Salon!

provides Chicago-based Asian American artists and performers the freedom to fail and present new works in this quarterly artist salon/workshop.

Inspired by French artist salons, "Permission to Fail" welcomes unfinished works and performances from 5-8 AAPINH local artists, including film, sculpture, dance, theatre, music, photography, fashion, painting, and more.
Be prepared to be an active audience member and, if the artists request, give feedback on thier work-in-progress. Be a part of histtory at this first ever of its kind Asian American aritsts' salon at Chicago's world class venue, Lookingglass Theatre Company in the historic Water Tower Water Works.
