It grows organic foods of 150 types, integrates animals into its land-care system and essentially runs on urban green waste and stormwater.

It is a full Permaculture Design Certificate Course featuring permaculture co-originator Dr David Holmgren, Annemarie & Graham Brookman and specialist presenters, starting on April 23-27 and continuing through May 9-11 & 24-25. It will build your community, expand your knowledge, and help you design your life with strong permaculture design principles that apply in all domains of human endeavour.
You’ll visit AMAZING URBAN AND RURAL PERMACULTURE PROPERTIES, undertake a major design project of your choice, learn how to live softly on the planet, meet change-makers from many occupations, experience a permablitz and have a lot of fun.
The venue is one of the World’s oldest, most diverse and consciously designed permaculture farms with roots going back to the emergence of permaculture from organic agriculture , environmental design and global philosophies. YOU WILL SEE IT APPLIED in a peri-urban setting at The Food Forest and hear about its practical application in the neighbourhood, town and State.
