In 1917, in the midst of WW1, a group of visionary Tanunda women compiled The Barossa Cookery Book, which still presides as one of Australia’s most significant community cookbooks. With Barossa at its very heart, this cookbook is a portrait of the birth of our unique regional culture. This event, hosted as part of the Barossa Vintage Festival, will allow you to 'meet' the contributors to this inspirational cookbook, learn why they supported this incredible initiative, and immerse yourself in their continuing legacy. Copies of the new companion book, ‘Rolling Up Their Sleeves’ will be available for purchase alongside copies of the original Barossa Cookery Book.
This is a free event. No ticket purchase is necessary. Drop in at any time.
