About this Event
The Summit County Historical Society, owners of the Perkins Stone Mansion & the John Brown House, is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding on July 12, 1924. Happy birthday to us! Thanks to generous funding by Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro, we are offering free ticketed tours of our historic homes on Saturdays in July. Guided tours include both the Stone Mansion and the John Brown House, as well as our grounds. Even though the tours are free of charge, we are requiring guests to reserve timed tickets in advance. All tours will begin at the Perkins Stone Mansion. Parking is available in our paved lot which is located at 465 South Portage Path. The free tours will take place on the following Saturdays: July 6, July 13, July 20. Tour times each of those days is 1 PM, 1:30 PM, 2 PM, 2:30 PM and 3 PM. The grounds and our gift shop, Woodshed Emporium Books & Gift Shop, will be open until 4 PM.
