A LitArts RI Writing Workshop
About this Event

For writers interested in giving voice to their text, either at live readings, or in recorded form, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to confront frequent obstacles to reading or performing your own work. Using tools commonly employed by actors, we’ll explore the inherent multiplicity of our own voices, discover our emotional and vocal ranges and embrace our variable personas as we engage with character and story.

Open to writers of all levels and genres with a work-in-progress. This is a 2-week workshop, with a 2-hour session each week. Please prepare for approximately 1-2 hours of work between sessions.

This 2-week workshop meets on Thursdays from 6-8pm at LitArts RI on the following dates:
Thurs, May 14
Thurs, May 21

His voice has appeared over the years in over 75 commercial campaigns, major motion pictures, as well as video games such as Valorant, Last of Us 2, Shin Megami Tensei, & Company of Heroes 2, he's also appeared on-screen in HBO's "Our Flag Means Death," "Westworld" & worked with M Night Shymalan on "Glass." He consults staff, faculty and students on podcasting and voiceover at the BAI at Brown University.

Community Access Lottery
LitArts RI offers a lottery for free admission to those who are from a community that has faced institutional barriers in the writing and publishing worlds or who lack access to resources and could not otherwise afford to attend. The lottery closes 2 weeks before each workshop, at which time entrants will be notified if they are a recipient of one of the free seats.
To enter the lottery, press the red "Get tickets" button at the top right of your screen, then scroll down to add a "Community Access Lottery Ticket" to your cart and check out.
