À travers une déambulation sonore dans le pavillon Hall, Rodríguez et Battikha convoqueront les manifestations étudiantes qui s’y sont déroulées, au moyen de transmissions radiophoniques et d’une trompette amplifiée. Des archives sonores résonneront dans les espaces où elles ont été enregistrées, désormais rencontrées et diffractées par les sons actuels du bâtiment. Cette coalescence du passé et du présent se déploiera du neuvième étage jusqu’au hall d’entrée, pour se conclure par une méditation sonore sur l’acte de s’asseoir dans le cube SIGHTINGS.
La performance sera présentée à deux reprises, à 14 h 15 et à 17 h 15.

Begins at the SIGHTINGS cube, ground floor, Hall Building

Through an ambulatory sound walk around the Hall Building, Rodríguez and Battikha will conjure past student protests that took place there through radio transmissions and amplified trumpet. Archival audio will resound in the spaces where it was once recorded, met and refracted by the building’s present-day sounds. This convergence of past and present will move from the ninth floor to the lobby, concluding with a sonic meditation on the act of sitting in the SIGHTINGS cube.
The performance will take place twice, at 2:15 pm and 5:15 pm.
