For three weeks, seven artists from six countries participated in the “Performance & Nature” Masterclass of the School of Disobedience.
Through an interdisciplinary and somatic approach, they created poetic, fragile, and hybrid forms in deep connection with nature.
Ecology was at the heart of the training — not only as an environment, but as a method.
Together, we explored how to get closer: to land, to matter, to cycles of decay and renewal.
The method of composting and recycling guided the process: giving second lives to old artworks, abandoned ideas, forgotten gestures. Nothing is wasted. Everything can begin again.
On October 24 and 25, our studio will host two evenings of harvest: students will reveal what they have cultivated, how deep they have dug, and what has grown from their soil.
These performances are not answers.
They are ways of paying attention.

The School of Disobedience is an artist-run platform founded by Anna Ádám in Hungary, dedicated to research, education, and creation. Shaped by Eastern Europe’s history, memory, and cultural complexity, it stands as a counter-school — reclaiming what Western art education has long dismissed: emotion, attention, intention. Its pedagogy dismantles inherited hierarchies of knowledge and taste, teaching from the margins to cultivate aesthetic self-determination and artistic agency.
