[english below]Anlässlich der @BerlinArtWeek zeigen wir zum dritten Mal in Folge eine bahnbrechende und historisch einflussreiche Performance in unserem jährlichen Performance Festival „PERFORM!“: Yvonne Rainers TRIO A aus dem Jahr 1966 wird von Mittwoch, 11. September, bis Sonntag, 15. September, mehrmals täglich in der oberen Halle aufgeführt; der Eintritt ist frei.
Die Performance TRIO A (1966) der US-amerikanischen Künstlerin, Choreografin und Tänzerin Yonne Rainer (geboren 1934) ist eine 4,5 minütige Abfolge einzelner Bewegungen, die sich mit Ausnahme des Gehens nie wiederholen. Der Tanz erscheint zwar mühelos, ist aber aufgrund der präzisen Artikulation von Händen, Armen, Schultern, Füßen und Beinen aufwendig zu erlernen.
Rainers TRIO A wird in der Neuen Nationalgalerie von Berliner Tänzer:innen unter der Leitung der US-amerikanischen Tänzerin Sara Wookey aufgeführt, die seit Jahren mit Rainer in engem Austausch steht.

On the occasion of @BerlinArtWeek, we are showing for the third year in a row a groundbreaking and historically highly influential performance in our annual performance festival “PERFORM!”: Yvonne Rainer's TRIO A from 1966 will be performed several times a day in the upper hall from Wednesday, September 11 to Sunday, September 15; admission is free.
The performance TRIO A (1966) by US-American artist, choreographer and dancer Yvonne Rainer (born in 1934) is a 4,5 minute sequence of individual movements that, with the exception of walking, are never repeated. Although the dance appears effortless, it is difficult to master due to the precise articulation of hands, arms, shoulders, feet and legs. This performance is an emblematic work by Rainer, who transferred the ideas of Minimal Art to dance in the 1960s.
Rainer's TRIO A will be performed by Berlin-based dancers under the direction of the US-American dancer Sara Wookey, who has been collaborating with Rainer for many years.
